Ana Cocea RMHCI

Ana is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) in Florida who enjoys helping individuals, couples, and families work through life’s challenges and changes. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University and uses a family systems approach to help clients understand how relationships and life experiences shape their emotional health.

Ana’s style is warm, supportive, and client-centered. She uses practical, evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution-Focused therapy to help clients build insight, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful changes. She also completed an intensive internship at a dual-diagnosis treatment center, where she supported clients dealing with addiction and other mental health concerns. Additionally, Ana is EMDR-trained and uses this approach to help clients process trauma and distressing life experiences.

As a Christian, she is attentive to how faith can be a source of strength, hope, and grounding, and integrates spiritual support when it is clinically appropriate and client-directed.

Born and raised in Romania, Ana brings a deep appreciation for culture, family, and personal stories into the therapy room. Her background in journalism and marketing has strengthened her ability to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help clients better understand their own patterns, values, and goals.

When she’s not seeing clients, Ana enjoys spending time with her family, going out with her girlfriends, taking long walks with her dog Rocky, watching sunsets at the beach, and staying active through workouts. She feels grateful to walk alongside her clients as they grow, heal, and move toward a more fulfilling life.
