Jamie Basak, RD

Jamie Basak, RD, CLT, CGN. An Integrative and Functional Dietitian/Nutritionist and Digestive Health expert who specializes in IBS and SIBO as well as Pediatric Detox with offices in Tampa, FL and Mocksville, NC.

After earning my Associate’s Degree in Science and spending 15 years working in Dental Hygiene, Jamie’s own experiences with IBS lead her into dietetics and her life’s mission of helping adults and children reclaim their lives by identifying the root cause of the issues disrupting their bodies.

Jamie received her Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from Keiser University in Lakeland, FL, and have since completed several additional certifications and trainings. She is a certified LEAP therapist, a Certified Gastrointestinal Nutritionist, SOS Trained Feeding Therapist and is one of the few dietitians certified in Pediatric Detox in the US.

In addition to her own digestive issues leading her down the path of discovery to help others through functional nutrition and holistic health, Jamie also discovered the need for pediatric support through watching her own children deal with the symptoms of heavy metal toxicity. Seeing her babies deal with symptoms like fatigue, headaches, and even Sensory Processing Disorder drove her to conduct intense research and seek advanced training to help detox her own children using various nutritional, supplement, and lifestyle changes. The incredible differences in Jamie’s health and the health of her children fuel her continued desire to help adults and children identify and correct the issues at the root of their symptoms so that they can experience relief and get back to the important task of living and enjoying life.

Jamie’s passion is helping clients restore their gut and hormone health through personalized nutrition and lifestyle programs and her “food as medicine” approach is reflected in the personalized nutrition services that she provides. Her method, aligned with the 5R protocol, has helped so many adults dealing with IBS, SIBO, SIFO, chronic fatigue, joint pain, and constipation as well as children dealing with worsened symptoms of ADHD, SPD, Autism, hyperactivity, meltdowns, rashes, and more.

When not working with clients in Florida, North Carolina, and beyond, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, a parrot, and two dogs.
